Big Bend is a campground in the Monongahela National Forest. I discovered it for the family in 2004 when I took a 6 week leave of absence from work. The campsites are fairly large and aren't too close together. The folks that manage it keep it nearly immaculate. For a campground anyway.
We've camped there 4 times so far. We don't do much while there
but catch up on our reading and sit by the river. The river is
stocked with trout but we're not particularly good at catching them.
If you're curious to see what the area looks like, the buttons above
will take you to the various short trip reports and pictures. Our
granddaughter Brynn was with us the past two times and definitely adds
to the interesting pictures.
